dwp x Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong Unleash Creative Space for “Unlock to Play” Workshop

Bangkok – In a groundbreaking collaboration, Moxy Hotels has teamed up with dwp | design worldwide partnership, a leading architecture and interior design firm with over 30 years of experience in Thailand, for a unique project: the “Unlock to Play Workshop”. Hosted in the lobby on the 9th floor of the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, this event invites esteemed guests and media to participate in an art workshop where they can design their own canvas bags. This initiative provides an engaging art experience and an immersive exploration of the hotel’s lively and imaginative interior, expertly designed by dwp.

Ms. Porntita Bheungnoi, General Manager of Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, commented: “Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, newly opened, boasts a distinctive interior design that appeals to all demographics, particularly those young at heart. Our hotel exudes vibrant energy and functional design, promising a unique experience for all our guests. With over 500 rooms that blend style with modern accommodation, every detail – from the convenient lighting systems to the specially crafted multifunctional furniture – has been designed for guest comfort.”

“We entrusted dwp with this project as, with its international reputation and credibility, dwp has a proven track record in hotel design, recognised by multiple prestigious awards. Notably, dwp has already secured accolades at the International Architecture & Design Awards 2024, winning Gold in the Interior, Hospitality & Hotel Interior Design category for their work on the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong. dwp also received an award for Interiors – Hospitality at the Rethinking The Future Awards 2024. These awards are a source of immense pride for Moxy Hotels and dwp.”

Mr. Thosarit Achriyasart, Associate Design Director at dwp, shares insights into the Moxy Ratchaprasong Hotel project: “Our design team created an atmosphere that resonates with those young at heart, particularly individuals who seek new and exciting experiences. We infused the hotel with the lively essence of Bangkok’s lifestyle and landmarks, such as Scala and Lido Cinema, particularly in the Moxy Bar, we also captured the vibrant New Year’s Eve atmosphere at Ratchaprasong. Street art and murals can be seen throughout the hotel, complemented by colourful patterned textiles that create a modern-Thai aesthetic. This bright and joyful expression plays out on a robustly designed background of raw concrete and black steel, creating a playful experience that’s inspired by the surrounding city.

Sustainability is at the core of our design approach, aiming to positively impact the environment while enhancing the quality of life for guests. All of dwp’s designers strive to create aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible spaces. We carefully select materials aligned with sustainable principles. We utilise advanced 3D software and AI technologies to streamline our workflow and tailor designs based on customer data and feedback. dwp’s creations combine luxury and sustainability, setting new standards through cutting-edge technology, which is evident in the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong.”
